How to use it
- Drop your KML files into the box above or click “Choose files”.
- Adjust the options if you need to.
- Click “Convert to GPX” and download the result.
About the format
Placemarks become waypoints; paths, polygons and Google Earth tracks (gx:Track, including timestamps) become GPX tracks. Note: KMZ files are zipped KML — unzip them first.
Frequently asked questions
Are names, elevation and time preserved?
Yes. Waypoint names and descriptions, elevation and timestamps are carried over whenever the source file contains them.
Which apps can open the result?
GPX works with Garmin, Strava, Komoot, OsmAnd and most GPS devices. KML opens in Google Earth, Google My Maps and many GIS tools.
Is it free?
Yes. All tools on ConvertNest are free to use, with no sign-up, limits on the number of files or watermarks.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to our server, which also makes it fast and safe for private documents.
